At Royal Pacific Kennels, we utilize a Puppy Pick Process (PPP) to ensure each family is matched with the puppy that best fits their lifestyle, goals, and expectations.
Rather than individually pricing each puppy from birth, our puppies are placed into a structured pick system. Each pick position has an assigned value based on the overall quality, development, and evaluation of the puppies within the litter.
Our goal is not simply to sell puppies — it is to thoughtfully place each puppy into the home where they will thrive.
When placing a deposit on a Royal Pacific Kennels puppy, families reserve a pick position within the litter.
Pick positions are assigned different values, with earlier picks having the first opportunity to choose from the available puppies.
For example:
1st Pick — Highest value pick and first opportunity to choose any available puppy of that gender.
2nd Pick — Second opportunity to choose from the remaining available puppies after 1st pick has made their selection.
3rd Pick and onward — Continue in order, with each family selecting from the puppies remaining within their available pick level.
Once a puppy has been selected, that puppy is reserved and removed from the available selections.
Royal Pacific Kennels evaluates each puppy as they mature and determines pick placement based on factors including:
• Structure and conformation
• Movement
• Temperament
• Overall development
• Quality and potential within the litter
Pick placement and pricing are determined by Royal Pacific Kennels to reflect the individual qualities of each puppy.
Our puppies are offered through our Puppy Pick Process.
If a family requests a specific puppy before final picks are established, that puppy may be available at the value assigned to its pick level.
After evaluations are completed, Royal Pacific Kennels will finalize puppy placements and pick values based on each puppy’s development and quality.
The Puppy Pick Process allows us to provide transparency and fairness while recognizing that every puppy develops at their own pace.
