A new puppy is a BIG commitment! We do our best to set our puppies up for success, to live the best lives with their new furever families.
At Royal Pacific Kennels we start all of our litters on ENS between days 3-16 of life. These exercises are believed to offer benefits including improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, a more responsive adrenal system, increased tolerance to stress, and greater disease resistance.
Sound Therapy is the process of gradually and positively introducing a puppy to a wide variety of everyday noises during their critical socialization period (roughly 3-16 weeks of age) to prevent noise phobia and build confidence. This offers puppies socialization, confidence, and resilience by gradually introducing them to a variety of common sounds during their critical developmental period. This controlled and positive exposure helps them associate these sounds with normalcy and safety, preventing the development of fear, anxiety, and phobias later in life.
Around week 4, our puppies are moved into a high traffic area in our home where they interact and learn boundaries around our 3 daughters (6,4 & 2) and feline companions. Creating confident, well-adjusted pets, reducing fear, anxiety, and aggression, while teaching them polite interaction, leading to fewer behavioral issues and a stronger family bond.
Between 6-8 weeks our babies learn to sleep in a crate at night, and learn not to potty in the crate. Kennel training a puppy before it leaves
ensures a smoother transition by providing a safe den, accelerating house training, preventing destructive behaviors, building independence (reducing separation anxiety), and establishing a healthy routine for sleep and rest, setting the puppy up for success in its new home with confidence and fewer accidents.
We litter train our puppies with pellets, starting at 3.5/4 weeks. Once vaccinated at 6 weeks, we start letting the puppies in our clean, safe and monitored yard to start early introduction to potty training. Doing so leverages their natural instinct to keep sleeping areas clean, setting them up for easier house training at home by establishing routines, preventing bad habits, and creating a strong foundation for future learning, leading to less stress for both pup and owner and a cleaner home environment.
Our goal is to keep our babies healthy and happy! We make sure this by routine deworming at weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 weeks. Our puppies also receive their primary vaccine at 6 weeks, before being introduced to the outside world. Puppies are required to be vet checked within a week of going home, this helps us ensure you receive a healthy, happy puppy.
